De bekende Amerikaanse TV serie De Twilight Zone is regelmatig als hoorspel te beluisteren op BBC Radio 4 Extra. De Science Fiction verhalen in zwart/wit uitgezonden van 1959 tot 1964 zijn nog steeds zeer gewild bij de liefhebbers. Speciaal de afleveringen die zich in de toekomst afspelen. In 2002 werd een aantal delen tot hoorspel bewerkt.

Meestal werden populaire radioseries in de jaren 60 jaren voor TV bewerkt. Waarom zou het omgekeerde niet kunnen, dacht initiatiefnemer Carl Amari? Na onderhandelingen met CBS en de schrijver Rod Sterling ging de Falcon Picture Group aan het werk. De serie werd een onverwacht groot succes. In 2002 was The Twilight Zone op 100 radiostations in Amerika te horen. In 2003 was dit aantal zelfs verdubbeld.
